This week we've had some really lovely feedback on the blog from people whose opinion we really value and to celebrate we are doing a Napoleon lipstick giveaway! We also asked Emma, our lovely friend, makeup artist and a fellow lover of Napoleon makeup for her tips on wearing a bright lippy this season.

"When it comes to makeup trends, this spring/summer is all about indulging in a bright lip with a twist... covering the Mercedes Benz fashion week catwalk in Brisbane was an army of models donning the matte pout. When it comes to recreating this look it's best to stick to a solid colour like orange, pink or red and pump up the intensity - you can't wear this look too bright or too matte!The new Double Agent Rouge Lip Pallet from Napoleon Perdis is perfect for this - it's one part luscious red lipstick and one part matching lip powder.

When applying, always make sure your lips are conditioned - matte lips will dry out and look crusty if you skip this vital step.  Apply the lipstick with your lip brush, then using a separate brush tap the setting powder over your entire lip. For the final touch, use your matching lip liner to shape your lips and create a barrier to prevent your lips from bleeding. Leaving this step until the end will also give you what every girls dreams of - a poutier lip finish.

Pair this look with a soft classic eye sticking to your browns, taupes, beiges or light greys. Having a soft eye doesn’t mean no colour at all, you can pump up the intensity of your soft colours and add a black defining liner to shape your eyes for night.

Another important tip is never forget about your brows! Your brows can add a startling amount of shape to your face, so run a taupe or brown brow pencil through them depending on your hair colour before you leave the house."
